How this site is funded
cards.ie is free to read. It costs money to run and research, and that money comes from affiliate links on some pages about financial products.
What an affiliate link is
If you click through to a provider — say a digital bank or a card reader company — and open an account or buy a device, that provider may pay this site a commission. You pay exactly the same as you would going direct. Pages that carry affiliate links say so.
What it never changes
- Rankings and verdicts are set before any commercial relationship is considered. Several top picks across the site pay us nothing.
- Providers cannot pay to appear, to move up a table or to soften a caveat.
- If the honest answer is "don't buy this" or "the free option is fine", that's what the page says.
What we don't do
No sponsored posts dressed up as guides, no selling your data, no pay-to-play "awards". The site uses cookieless, privacy-respecting analytics — see the privacy page.
